7 Surefire ways to get more out of your day

7 Surefire Ways To Get More Out of Your Day

Let’s face it – time is probably our greatest resource. We never seem to have enough of it and it seems to pass so quickly. Well we won’t get any more of it and we can’t slow it down.

What we can do is make the most of the time we have. Here are some simple steps you can take to get the most out of your day:

  1. Plan your day the night before – At the end of each day write out all the things you need to do the following day to achieve your goals. Pull together all the information you’ll need, phone numbers and relevant paperwork.
  1. Prioritize the list – Number each item and do the nasty jobs first. There’s always the temptation to do the easy jobs first. However, think how the thought of doing the nasty jobs hangs over you as you do the easy stuff. Think how good you’ll feel when the nasties are out of the way and how motivated you’ll feel.
  1. Stick to your list – Check off each item as you go and don’t let yourself get distracted. The temptation is to handle the telephone and emails as they come in. The phone is hard to ignore but you could always pull out the plug and let it go to voice mail and switch off the email program. Make an agreement with yourself to check for messages every two hours or so.
  1. Remember the Three “D’s” – Do it, Delegate it or Dump it. Handle each piece of paper only once. Either do something about it now, delegate it to someone else or chuck it in the trash. And remember – “Only do it if only you can do it.”
  1. Don’t procrastinate – Procrastination really is the “Thief of Time” It’s so easy to put things off till another time or till “I’ve had time to think about it.” DO IT NOW!
  1. Plan your leisure time – Take up activities that need you to be at a certain place at a certain time. Instead of just “going to the gym,” book a fitness class or an appointment with a personal trainer. Or set a gym schedule!
  1. Be honest with yourself – Keep asking – “Is what I’m doing now getting me to where I want to get to?” if the answer is “no,” change what you’re doing.

7 key principles of relationship marketing

7 Key Principles of Relationship Marketing

Most business owners fail to effectively attract and retain lifetime customers. What they fail to realize is the key principles of relationship marketing, that converts potential customers into repeat clients. To succeed in your business, your main goal should be to build a responsive email list of lifetime customers from your targeted market who trust you, feel grateful to you and value your recommendation. A good relationship with loyal customers is worth a fortune. That’s the most valuable thing any business can have. The key here is to build your large list of lifetime customers who trust you. Achieve this and you’re set for life. For that reason you need to learn the key principles of relationship marketing to be able to apply relationship marketing concepts to your website.

What’s Relationship Marketing? Relationship marketing is the method of gradually turning website visitors into subscribers and leads them from position to position along a planned program to convert them into life time customers. Think of relationship building as the foundation to your business. It establishes you as a professional, trustworthy and a consistent source.

7 Key Principles of Relationship Marketing: Building relationships online is more difficult when compared to offline relationship building. The techniques used are almost the same. But, turning a potential customer into a lifetime customer offline is easier due to the nature of the process. In online marketing you can’t meet your clients in person like in offline marketing. But, you can deliver what you want if you think of your potential clients in each step you make when building your business. Relationship marketing is a process, not just a one-time commitment. It starts the moment you think about building a business and continue as long as you stay in.

  1. Know your potential customers- Before you start building your business; you need to determine your targeted market and know your potential customers. Learn how to know your customers to develop effective tactics for delivering your message to them. You can start getting to know your customers by taking some very simple steps.

– Determine in advance where your potential customers congregate.

– What newsletter do they read?

– What forums do they visit and post to?

– What else might you do while surfing the net?

The best places where you find your prospects are forums, discussion groups and discussion boards. Visit forums of your targeted market and figure out:

– What’s your potential customers’ problem?

– What are they looking for?

– What kind of business are they involved in?

– How do they want their problem to be solved?

– What words do they use?

Only by knowing your customers’ wants and needs can you successfully grow your business and be totally customer-oriented. In order to tailor your marketing and advertising strategies to appeal to the tastes and interests of your market, you must first identify your customer.

Relationship is not only based on knowing who your visitors are, but on knowing your customers’ and prospects’ specific needs.

Note: To attract more subscribers and build a strong relationship marketing the easy way use your prospects words. If you feel their pain and use their words when posting to forums, sending messages, etc… they’ll be related to you. You will be one of them; you are not a stranger then they will be likely to trust you and consider your recommendation.

  1. Show your expertise- The majority of business people never completely and clearly display their knowledge to potential customers. Show to your targeted market you are the leader in your industry and they will follow you. People like to learn about your experience. They like to follow the expert’s steps to avoid mistakes and reach success the easy way with less investment in time and money.
  1. Start a dialog to establish trust- Set up a continuing dialog to establish trust. Trust is a vital step to building a long-time relationship. This dialog should start as soon as your visitors submit information along with their email addresses. This explains their interest in your business. In return, you give them what they promised when they subscribed and keep contacts at periodic intervals by sending quality information to your subscribers. Your goal is to create long term relationships marketing with your subscribers. To do that you must invest time to gather available sources and high quality information and put it at your prospects’ disposal to help them succeed. Remember, maintaining customer enthusiasm and creating customer loyalty is your key to success.
  1. Follow up- Dialog leads to follow-up. Hook your subscribers with your follow up messages series. Set up a series of follow up messages to send quality information to every new subscriber. Professionalism is the key to successful relationships. The main purpose of follow up is to remain visible to your subscribers so, when the need arises and your prospect wants to make a purchase, your product will be the first one the subscriber thinks of. If you want to make good money your mission will not cease at selling your product. Going after one sale is worthless. Following up with your customer after the sale is made is a great tactic. This important step will help you strengthen your relationship, decrease the refund proclamations and keep your customer baying from you again and a gain.

Keep following up; don’t stop and be creative. Don’t send your customers only sales messages. From time to time send free useful products they don’t find elsewhere that can help them make money and/or save time. Send special offers with discounts for loyal customers only. Keep them up to date and to the point with latest news, etc…

  1. Offer good customer service- Some people will start an online business and only focus on what services or products they can sell to make good money. They are not worried about establishing good relationships with their customers and potential clients.
  • Answer your prospects’ requests as soon as you receive them.
  • Reply to every email within 24 hours with the needed response whether it is a question, concern or simply someone looking for more information.
  • Treat your customers right. Even if you offer the best products or services, most customers will evaluate your business by how they were treated while doing business with you. For that reason, it’s important to take care of your customers and give them the best product or service they want.

By providing great customer service to the people you do business with, you will get customers coming back to you again and again to buy your products or services.

Note: If you want to stay in your customers’ minds, serve them better. You can do this by collecting information from your customers’ feedback. Having a contacts page on your website with a comments or feedback form will keep you informed about your customers’ wants and problems. If you publish a newsletter, you can also accomplish this by asking for feedback from your subscribers. This is a great way of making your audience know you care about what they have to say and how important they are to you. When you show interest in your customers you will build credibility and loyalty.

  1. Educate your subscribers- Put at your customers disposal manuals, frequently asked question (FAQ) web pages, articles, etc… to help them learn how to use your product or service perfectly. Educate your subscribers to help them build interest and loyalty for your business. Lifetime clients want you to be their trusted advisor. The more you educate your customers by offering them a variety of options, the greater your chance to earn their lifetime business. Education strengthens relationship marketing with clients.
  1. Sell or recommend only quality products- Sell quality products that have value, plus offer a guarantee and stand behind it. One of the quickest ways to destroy a business relationship is selling poor quality products and not standing behind what you promise. If you want to promote other marketers’ affiliate programs from your website, take the time to investigate the companies you advocate. Promote only products from legitimate companies with solid Internet presence. Remember the companies you suggest will have an impact on your business reputation.

Relationship marketing is the cornerstone of every business. If you follow these key principles of relationship marketing, you’ll be on your way to building a responsive opt-in email list which will lead to more and better sales.

10 ways to “up-level” your network marketing business this week!

10 Ways To “Up-Level” Your Network Marketing Business This Week!

Network marketing is not just an excellent way to add an additional stream of income to your life, but it also gives you the amazing opportunity to be a part of a strong community of like-minded, passionate people! This business concept has been around for decades and is exponentially growing on a global scale year after year due to the fact that … It works! The residual income and dual business model that most companies provide offer individuals the opportunity to make it either a full-time career or a substantial second income.

With all of that said, in order to be successful in this business, it does require hard work, stepping outside of your comfort zone, and being persistent. Thankfully, once you set up a solid network of relationships, your business becomes MUCH less time-intensive, and it’s almost like going on “autopilot”. As I’m sure you can imagine, the key is to get to this crucial point as fast as possible!

Here are 10 simple steps to help you jump-start your business and maximize your network marketing potential in the next 7 days:

  1. Use Your Products Regularly

This is number 1 for a reason! This is the most ignored part of almost every network marketing business. How do you expect your business to succeed if you will not even use your own products? Having a first-hand testimonial story from your products is HUGE. Being able to expertly answer your customer’s questions, post photos of yourself with your products, and educate people on the benefits your product may deliver are all keys to great marketing and repeat sales. If you are not already, make a commitment to start using your products this week and see where your business goes!

  1. Educate Yourself Constantly

This is very important! Business and self-help books are a great way to start. Many industry leaders or stand-out CEOs have written books about how they got their business started and how they reached the top. Following the path of successful people before you is always a smart way to start in any business. Reading books on cultivating a positive attitude and a business mindset will set you up for success when you are facing a lull in your business or feel like you don’t want to keep going. Successful people are constantly working on their self-development and expanding their horizons. I recommend reading a mindset, business, or self-help book for a minimum of 15 minutes each day, preferably in the morning, to set the day off right!

  1. Spend As Much Time As Possible With Your Upline

Your upline is a vast source of knowledge and information. Mingle with top distributors in your group, or other groups, and ask how they made it. Do three-way calls with your prospective customers/ business partners and your upline so you can get comfortable talking about your products and your business model as soon as possible. Most people are more than happy to share tips and advice with you. Be coachable and listen to their advice.

  1. Start Making a List And Reach Out To A Minimum of 10 People Each Day

Start by making two lists: one of the people who you know would be interested in your products and another of the people who you think would be interested in hearing about your business and possibly want to join you. Making these lists are essential, and moving through these lists every day and reaching out to a minimum of 10 people per day will put you on the fast track to success. Almost every successful network marketer has done this at some point, and many habitually continue to do this because they know it works! It keeps you consistent, it keeps you actively engaged every day, and it continues to open new doors of opportunity to move more product or reach more people who may be looking to join a business like yours.

  1. Care For Your Downline

An entire book can be written on this topic. Usually, it’s the little things that show how much you really care. Maintain regular contact, especially in the beginning. Offer online group hangouts and trainings to get your team started strong and always praise your team members’ accomplishments. Offer incentives for specific achievements, such as free product, recognition, free admission to a company training, money, or other rewards that will keep your group motivated. The more you can motivate them in the beginning and get them connected to the group, the more they will want to stay engaged and be excited about continuing to build, make more money, and move up in the ranks of the company.

  1. Duplicate Yourself By Making Your Team Independent Of You

This will help to multiply your time and make you and your team more effective. Always lead by example. Never stop recruiting, training, and retailing. Remember the KISS formula – “Keep It Simple, Sweety” I know, I know, I changed the last word, but you get the meaning. You do this by conducting simple, brief, yet dramatic presentations and teaching your downline to do the same. Help your team with their personalized “elevator pitch” so that they feel comfortable sharing the products and the business opportunity as soon as possible.

  1. Create a Large Customer Base

This is another largely ignored, yet very important, piece of your network marketing business. Don’t focus so much on building a huge downline that you forget how much profit you can also make by selling your products to retail customers. Some people will just not want to become part of your downline, no matter how great a product/system you may have. But, they may be very interested in buying your product directly from you. Social media has allowed us unlimited access to free marketing to people we know, and to people we have never met before. The more you post about your products or lifestyle and educate people on the benefits of what your product offers, the more you will create a consistent flow of customers and a steady stream of monthly, residual income.

  1. Focus On Your Customers’ Needs

You must give customers more than they expect, and always satisfy your customers’ complaints immediately. Try to listen 80% of the time, and talk only 20%. Asking questions and choosing products based on their individual needs will keep them coming back. When posting, don’t just post about your product; post about the problem that your customer has and why this product will help. Focusing on people’s pain points is what will draw them to you and the solution you have for them. As stated above, your customers can be a huge source of future referrals and/or business. You must earn and maintain their trust. Once you have their trust, you can always ask for referrals, which leads to even more business and a larger downline.

  1. Set Daily, Weekly, Monthly, & Yearly Goals – and Write Them Down!

Goal setting is essential, and creating achievable goals so as not to get overwhelmed right off the bat, is important. Breaking up a larger goal into smaller, more easily attainable goals is the key to success. You cannot just jump to the end. You have to make progress every day. Writing your goals down will help you succeed. A goal is just a “passing thought” or “wish” until you put it in writing. That is when it becomes concrete and real. It is also a great idea to keep a business journal of your daily activities, as it will help you to become more productive and time-conscious.

  1. Get Out There And Do It Now!

The most important ingredient is ACTION! The quicker you start following the guidelines your upline has created for you, learning the products and their benefits, and start reaching out to people every single day, the quicker your business will take off and the more motivated you will be to keep going! If you are unsure about what to say or are still learning about your products, use your upline to help you reach out to your prospects. When your friends, family, and colleagues see your excitement and enthusiasm for your new products and business venture, they will automatically want to know more about what you’re doing. Not taking action is the #1 reason for failing at anything in life. If you commit to consistent action every single day, you will be a success at network marketing! By following these simple steps, you should begin to see the results start to materialize fairly quickly in your business! Hopefully, this has provided you with some actionable insights to help you to grow and succeed as you dive into this exciting business opportunity. And, as with anything worth working towards, please don’t forget to enjoy the journey on your way to the top!

5 Emotions that could be stopping you from living your dreams

5 Emotions That Could Be Stopping You From Living Your Dreams

Hurtful memories can stifle your development and growth. How do we break through this insidious mental conditioning? How do we grow and develop beyond hurtful episodes that bury themselves in our subconscious and influence our lives? How do we change and grow so that we can live our dreams?

The first step is to break the hold of these inhibiting influences from the past. Recognize them and then either get rid of them or turn them into a positive force that pushes you ahead rather than holds you back. Identify these inhibiting memories in your life so that you control them rather than allowing them to control you. Did someone hurt your feelings? Forgive them and forget it. Move on. Did someone punish you unfairly? It’s over. It’s done. Go on.

Here are a few of the most common emotions that burrow into the subconscious and impede our growth as individuals:

  1. Anger: This is a natural response to a perceived attack or injury. It makes energy flow. But when allowed to simmer, it depletes energy that could be used to improve your life. If you hold your anger for more than a week, it is only hurting you. Make yourself let go. Envision yourself throwing it out. Ease your mind. Transform your anger into positive motivation. Don’t get mad, get motivated.
  1. Revenge: The first cousin of anger. It also robs you of strength in the long run. The person who has injured you has probably gone on with life; so should you. Don’t let the injury hurt you further by inhibiting your growth. Lose it or use it. Instead of saying, “I’ll get them,” say, “I’ll show them. I’LL BE SOMEBODY!”
  1. Sadness: This is more crippling than anger because it drains you from the start, sapping your will to go on. You probably will have to let this drain away slowly at its own pace. Time heals, but if the sadness seems to linger, consciously force it out. Seek out things that make you laugh and feel positive about life. Realize that feeling sad will not change anything. Seek peace of mind as your right.
  1. Resentment: Life is not always fair. It is unrealistic to feel any other way, and holding on to resentment is no way to fight back. Drop it and get back into the battle.
  1. Guilt: Guilt is another emotion that stands between you and your dreams. All of us have done things we feel bad about and regret. Things we would do differently. Many of us carry that guilt around and it keeps us from moving forward. Don’t let people put you on a guilt trip. Say to yourself when someone is putting you on the defensive, “No matter what you do or say to me, I am still a worthwhile person.”

To rid yourself of these past emotions, put them in a perspective that is positive rather than negative and thereby cut off their painful roots in your subconscious. Reinterpret the past with these methods: Get better, not bitter. Find a quiet, comfortable place. Sit back and relax. Think about something or someone who caused you pain or disappointment. Now take a mental step back from that feeling and the situation. Assess it. Did the emotions that resulted make you stronger? Did they give you determination? Can you use those memories to empower you rather than drain you? Why let them hurt you further?

7 Tips to thriving while working from home

7 Tips to thriving while working from home

So, you’ve decided to start a home based business. Congratulations! and welcome to the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship. While there is a lot to learn, your effort will be worth it. The thrill of growing your business, the freedom and flexibility to set your own hours, and the possibilities of ever-increasing financial rewards are all wonderful reasons to start your home based business.

Now that you’ve decided to start your business, you might be wondering “How can I get it off to the strongest possible start?” These seven tips will help:

  1. Set up a separate working space in your home. It doesn’t matter if this is a small bedroom, one part of the garage, or a corner of the living room. The important thing is to have some space that you can designate as your working area. This will give you the space and room you need to craft your dream.
  2. Stock your working space with materials. This sounds basic, perhaps, but one underlying element of success is that you have easy access to the tools, materials, and other resources you need. Gathering everything close by also keeps you from wasting time searching for it, so this step can be considered a time management strategy, too.
  3. Speaking of time management, your third step is to define the parameters of your business. What days and hours will you work? When will you market? When will you provide services or products to clients? How will you keep all of this straight?
  4. Balance action with planning. One of the most common pitfalls to successful entrepreneurship is getting too caught up in action without enough planning. Stated another way, this means that you confuse “being busy” with “working on important projects.” The best approach is to plan your next couple of goals and then work backwards to create step by step action plans to reach them. Once you have the plan, then it’s time to take action.
  5. Network like crazy. One of the fastest ways to grow any business is to make connections with other people. Be sure to share your passion and enthusiasm with others at every opportunity. Let people know who you are and what you offer. Remember, people can’t buy if they don’t know you’re selling.
  6. Present a professional image. If you want to be treated professionally, present a professional image. Set up a separate bank account for your business. Install a separate phone and fax line. Create professional marketing materials. Be courteous and pleasant in all your customer-facing interactions. Basically, be someone people want to do business with.
  7. Automate your business as much as possible. Granted, you are just one person (right now) and might have a lot of extra time to take care of all the details. This might work for now, but won’t work into the future as you get busier and busier. It’s best to set up automatic systems and processes right from the start to free up your time to concentrate on the most profitable activities.

11 Questions To Kickstart Your Dream

11 Questions To Kickstart Your Dream

What’s your dream? Want to give your vision a jumpstart? Write down your goals and use these questions to speed up delivery of your dream.

  1. What’s your highest priority this lifetime?

What’s most important for you to experience, explore or embrace this time around? Until you answer this question, your life goals will be off purpose. Unaligned with your inner passion, your intentions will lack the power to attract the people and situations necessary to become a reality.

Get clued into your true joy. What activities turned you on as a child? What are your hobbies now? When your goals are aligned with your soul purpose, synchronicity kicks in to guide you to your target. When you intuit and own your unique essence and calling, assistance will flow to you from every earthly and heavenly source.

  1.  Is this your dream, or someone else’s?

Are your goals your own choice, or what others think you should strive for? Do you want to look back in your old age and wish you had followed your passion? Will you regret having “played it safe?”

Is it selfish to go after your own dream? What joy can you give to others if you haven’t given it to yourself first?

You have a divine right to listen to your heart. You have a social obligation to follow your dream. Only then can you fulfill your destiny and make the earthly contribution you were born to make.

3. Do you really, really want this dream?

Do you bound out of bed every morning to pursue your vision? Or is it a lukewarm dream you chase because it sounds meaningful? Only the Real McCoy will generate enough energy to manifest itself in the world.

4. Are you settling for less than?

Are you resigned to accepting less than your full share of love, health and success this lifetime? Have you compromised and sacrificed your dream to death?

Anything short of living your true passions will never make you happy. Do you want to arrive at the Pearly Gates with the regret of not marrying that one captivating person, starting that fun business, or seeing that exotic part of the world you always wanted to visit?

5. Is your dream actually just a means to some other dream?

Is your goal the ultimate end in itself, or merely a limited means to that end? Isn’t it really the new car itself you want, rather than the money-the means-to buy the new car? More to the core, isn’t it really a renewed sense of self-worth you desire, rather than the new car or house to impress the family and neighbors? And isn’t it really happiness you want, rather than the picture-perfect mate, job or body?

Focus on the experience you want to create, not the physical form that may-or may not-bring you that experience.

6. What will you feel like when you reach your dream?

Personal passion fuels a vision. Dive into the thrill and exhilaration of the feeling of living your dream. Every moment you can, drink in the joy of having your goal.

The Hawaiian Kahuna say, “Where your creative attention flows, so flows your life.” Is your daily attention feeding your dream? As the TV public service announcement reminds us, “It’s midnight. Do you know where your children are?” Hey, in your life, it’s high noon! Do you know where your creative excitement is flowing?

It’s high time you manifested your aspirations. Dynamic, satisfying creations are nurtured with love and care as a flower in a garden.

7. How will you benefit from getting your dream?

Get specific about the benefits you’ll receive from achieving your vision. Write down these pluses so they will sink in as motivators. What exactly would happen if you made a lot of money doing something you love? How would you approach your life differently if you allowed people to love and support you? What would you do with more vitality and health?

8. What steps can you take today toward your dream?

Don’t defer your dream. Set up supports and systems around you to instantly translate your intentions into action. Jump on every opportunity that is in line with your purpose and vision.

Keep the momentum going. No matter how hectic life gets, pledge to take at least one action a day. Even the smallest actions-jotting down a new idea, reading a single page, or making one phone call-can start to add up.

Are there smaller projects that lead to your larger dream that can give you pleasure in the meantime? If the dream is to run a marathon, train for a local fun-run first. And find a way to measure your progress. Track those little wins-by writing in a journal or telling a friend.

9. Are you telling yourself: “I can’t have my dream?”

Most people don’t believe they can live their dream. Either their belief system has them believing they can’t make a living doing what they love, or they feel they don’t deserve their dream. To avoid the pain of feeling they can’t have their dream, people often keep their dream so buried they can’t remember they ever had a dream.

Everyone has a dream! And everyone is destined to fulfill that purpose. Why wait?

10. Are you afraid of getting your dream?

Statistically, more heart attacks occur when “good” things happen, than when “bad” things happen! Getting your dream is life-threatening! Of course, realizing your dream is only threatening to your old experience of yourself and your life-you know, the one that’s boring-or paining-you to death!

Change is scary. Find a way to move the energy of fear. The only way to avoid feeling fear is to avoid living altogether!

11. Do you really need to accomplish your dream?

Do you really need to achieve your goals to be happy? Enter the “hootless state”-where you no longer give a hoot if the exact “picture” of your dream comes true. Without the interference of the ego’s push, pressure and micromanaging, you have a much better chance of being in the right vibration-space-to attract real happiness. When you relax your grip on the exact way your future “has” to unfold, you give the Universe more flexibility in how it can fulfill your wishes.

And, on a higher plane, what if our true task here on Earth is simply to be who we already are in our essential nature-with or without manifesting our specific goals? What if the essence of who we are is enough?

3 Powerful Tactics That Motivate Customers To Buy

3 Powerful Tactics That Motivate Customers To Buy

Wooing customers is a little bit like dating.  No, you can’t present the engagement ring on your first date!  There’s a two-way relationship that grows one step at a time before it leads to the church doors.  You can’t rush it… you can’t skip it… if you’re looking for the satisfaction of a life-long commitment.

Getting to know your date, or getting to know your customer takes a little time and effort.  The personality, likes and dislikes of each date are different, but customers share some commonalities that you, the marketer, can grab onto.  Give them what they want, and they’ll become the loyal, life-time customers that make your business prosper.

  1. Forget About Selling… Put The Emphasis On Buying

People like to think that all of their buying decisions were reached due to their own great ideas and skillful shopping.  Hey, no one is fond of a pushy salesman.  A salesman who “HELPS” them discover the best buy for their buck on the other hand, is a hero.

Really, when a person walks into your place of business, they are most likely thinking of making a purchase before they get there.  You don’t have to persuade them to buy.  You can take it easy, and simply help them decide what the best purchase is.

Keep your focus on the customer and his needs.  Think… what benefits would he be most interested in?  What is the price range he can afford?  Basically, keep in mind that you are there to serve his needs, not persuade him.  Ah, the pressure’s off!

  1. Make Purchasing  A “Sure Bet”

Buying is a “risky” business.  The higher the price tag reads, the higher the risks are!  Yep, a customer is just looking for a product that satisfies the needs he purchased it for.  The question they ask themselves is… “Is it worth it?”

Hey, it’s a legitimate question.  The world is full of scams where you spend your hard earned cash and end up with trash that doesn’t last and that you can’t get serviced.  A few tough lessons leave customers wary about off-the-cuff purchases.  They want something they can trust.

A money back guarantee alleviates a great amount of concern in the mind of the consumer.  There’s peace in knowing that if the product doesn’t live up to its claims, they aren’t stuck footing the bill for a piece of junk.

Customer testimonials also clearly tell “would be” buyers that you really do deliver customer satisfaction.  No one can say it better than a satisfied customer, but don’t carelessly use testimonials.  You need a method to your madness.  Pick clear and specific testimonials to use, and include as much about the customer as you possibly can to lend credence to his testimony.

  1. Let Them Know That It’s An Easy Process

Simplicity… ah, it makes life so much easier.  Yeah, your harried customers are busy and tired.  They don’t want to mess around.  Most of the time, they just want to make the purchase and head home.  Convenience stores testify to the fact that quick and easy often overrides a better price!

Make the buying process as simple as you possibly can.  Remember that not everyone prefers the same method.  The more options you have available, the more customers you will please.

When you’re planning your marketing campaign, don’t forget to point out the quick, fast, and easy benefits of your product.  Remember that value isn’t everything. It’s pretty easy to charm your customers when you know what they like!  Keep these 3 tactics in mind as you go about the daunting task of growing your business and expanding your customer list… and watch your profits go through the roof.

60 Minutes To Clear Goals

60 Minutes To Clear Goals

I think that most people would agree that the people who have goals are more successful than those who do not have any.

I often talk about leadership and management. Leadership is about doing the right things while management is about doing things right. Often when we study time management, we study efficiency (doing things right) and make the assumption that we have the effectiveness (leadership) solved.

The first step in any time management system should be to work on goals and as such, I use the following 60 Minute Goal Setting Exercise.

  1. At the top of a blank piece of paper write down “values” and then spend 10 to 15 minutes writing down everything that you value.
  1. At the top of a blank piece of paper write down “lifetime goals.” This is where you dream. For example, what places would you like to visit; what experiences would you like to have; what would you like to accomplish within your lifetime. This might include traveling to Australia; getting a university degree; living in an X square foot house, etc. There are no rules to this brainstorming – simply make a list.
  1. At the top of a blank piece of paper write down what you would do if you had six months to live. This part of the exercise really came home to me this week when one of my close friends died at 36 years old. Some of us may have only six months to live; however, we may not know it yet. List everything that you would do if you had only six months to live. Part of the purpose of this exercise that I found works well for me is that it brings the truly important into focus. Often I find things that I would do if I had only six months to live that are not listed on my lifetime goals.
  1. At the top of a blank piece of paper write down your goals for this year. After doing the first three steps, you will find this step much easier than the others. These are the goals to focus on NOW.

This total exercise will only take an hour. An hour spent clarifying your goals can save you hundreds of hours.

5 Keys To Overcome Failure

5 Keys to Overcome Failure

Everyone hates to fail but what most people don’t realize is that failing is part of success. Anyone who has ever succeeded has failed many times. So, how do you overcome failure?

Here are 5 keys to overcoming failure.

  1. Learn From Your Mistakes and Failures.

How did you learn to ride a bike? The short answer: you fell off 100 times. Every time you make a mistake or fail, learn as much as you can from it so that you are better prepared next time.

Action Step: Write down the top five things that you learned from your last mistake or failure.

  1. Don’t Dwell on It.

Now that you have learned something from your mistake, move on. Don’t dwell on your past. You can’t tell where you are going if you are looking backwards. Also, dwelling on your past failures will keep you in prison right where you are.

Action Step: Read what you have written down in Key 1 (The 5 Things You Learned).

  1. Don’t Be Afraid to Try Again.

Don’t let the fear from your last failure stop you from reaching your greatness, goal, dream, or potential. Just like learning to ride that bike, you didn’t fall once or twice and then give up.

Action Step: Take what you have learned and try it again now that you are better prepared.

  1. Surround Yourself with Positive People.

No matter what it is that you are trying to achieve, surround yourself with successful people that have done what you want to do. One of the best ways to overcome failure is to learn how other people just like you overcame failure. This will not only encourage you but give you proof that it can be done.

Action Step: Find a person or a group of people who are successful and get around them as soon as possible.

  1. Realizing Failure is Part of the Learning Curve.

Failure and mistakes aren’t fun but they are what help us learn to be great at whatever it is we are trying to achieve. “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”

Action Step: Think back to a time where you succeeded. Then think how many times you failed or made mistakes to get to that success.

Now that you have the 5 Keys to Overcoming Failure, go out there and just do it! You have a seed of greatness on the inside of you. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from reaching your full potential in life.

5 Inspiring Action Verbs That Can Change Your Life

5 Inspiring Action Verbs That Can Change Your Life

If you’re having trouble getting inspired, it may be simply your choice of verbs. Here are 5 action verbs that can help get you inspired and get you out of your rut.

We’ve all been stuck in that place where things just don’t seem to go forward. We have trouble getting motivated and our goals seem either out of reach, or too weak. In short, we are uninspired!

Some self improvement experts will tell you that you have to have a good attitude in order to improve your life. I would agree with that, but it’s not always that easy. It’s hard to set aggressive goals and get inspired to achieve them when your mindset is not right.

If your mind is not ready to embrace more exciting goals, then change will be at best, difficult. In fact, if you’re not ready for it, then it will be hard to conquer even small challenges. If you can’t take on small challenges, then it’s going to be impossible to change your life to the degree you’d ultimately like.

To that end, I recommend using action to inspire yourself and create change. In effect, we’re placing the cart before the horse here, and forcing our attitude to match our actions. If you shake things up by taking action first, you’ll get your mind ready to create and pursue more exciting goals.

Below are 5 inspiring action verbs that you can use to shake things up and get yourself mentally ready to take on new challenges. If you use these techniques, even in small ways, you will naturally find yourself on the road to change. Change leads to bigger and better goals. Bigger and better goals lead to accepting greater challenges… and so on, and so on.

  1. Give – Give to a charity, an individual in need, or simply a friend or relative. You don’t have to give something expensive or big. Just a show of appreciation will do, such as a card or a flower. Why does it work… Giving is a very uplifting experience since it frees your mind from thinking that there is not enough in the world. Giving teaches you that there is plenty to go around, and it will cause you to attract more good things in your life.
  2. Learn – Learn a new language or a new dance. Learn about something you know nothing about, or learn to play a song on the piano or guitar. Why it works… learning something new develops your nervous system and makes you think in ways you’ve never thought before.
  3. Change – Change your routine, take a different route to work, change your usual clothing style, your hairstyle, or change what you normally eat. Why it works… change begets change. If you want a big change, start by making a small change.
  4. Participate – Participate in community activities, a sports team, or join a club. Why it works… participation requires social interaction and creativity, both of which will stimulate and inspire.
  5. Create – Create a piece of art, write a short story, make a bookshelf, or start a website. Why it works… creating stimulates all those dormant forces that allow change to enter your life.

Each time you perform one of these inspiring actions, take several minutes to feel good about it. You want your attitude to catch up to your actions. Also make sure that you enjoy the process, knowing that what you are doing is good for you and those around you as well.

Sometimes, just the exercise of reviewing these action verbs will be inspiration enough to get you thinking of what you could do to change your life. I hope you enjoy using these inspiring action verbs to change your mental state and improve your life. I’m sure that now you can think of some on your own. Remember, though, nothing happens without taking action!

5 Easy Steps To Accomplishing Any Goal

5 Easy Steps To Accomplishing Any Goal

Accomplishing Any Goal is just 5 Easy Steps away:

  1. Establish a definite date – Set your goals in reverse. Pick a date of completion and work backward. Ex. Set a goal for the end of the month and then set short term goals for each day through the end of the month. This way you are setting short and long term goals and each day as you accomplish your short term goals you move one step closer to accomplishing your long term goal. Don’t forget to include personal development goals and days off.
  2. Keep a calendar – Take the goal you set for the end of the month and write that goal on the last day of the month. Then write down the short term goals for each day through the end of the month.
  3. One at a time – Don’t try to cram everything into one day. If you try to post to your blogs, post to the forums, post classified ads, participate in groups, submit articles etc. all in one day you’ll burn yourself out. Instead, focus on one or two things every day and then cross it off. Mark an ‘X’ on the calendar on the days you complete the scheduled tasks.
  4. Set a time limit – Aim for one to two hours per day. By limiting the time you are spending and focusing on one or two tasks every day, you’ll build momentum and increase your success rate.
  5. Stick with it – Stick with your schedule. Switching things up too often can get in the way of your success.

With a written plan, you’ll make accomplishing your goals easier. At the end of the month when you see more ‘X’s than empty squares, you’ll feel more accomplished. By implementing the 5 Easy Steps to Accomplishing Any Goal, you’ll find yourself making progress, building self-confidence and reaching and accomplishing your long term goals.

4 Rules For New Entrepreneurs – Practical Tips For Starting Right

4 Rules For New Entrepreneurs – Practical Tips For Starting Right

Written by Julia Shantal

It’s a great time to be an entrepreneur—in the last decade, technology has leveled the playing field and propelled an entrepreneurial revolution. As an entrepreneur, you now have more access to information that enables you to make intelligent choices quickly. You have an advantage over big businesses in that you’re lighter, more flexible, and faster on your feet. You can target new markets more quickly, and you can turn on a dime.

But being a successful entrepreneur requires that you look at the big picture and follow a plan through from beginning to end. Here are some practical guidelines that can help you when beginning your own enterprise:

  1. Don’t Quit Your Day Job Just Yet

Consider starting your business part-time, especially if it’s online, while you’re working and have a steady income. It usually takes six months to a year to get a business going and you don’t want your ability to make your house payment to hinge upon your company being an overnight success. Start with what you can manage, financially and time-wise, and scale up as your business grows.

  1. Find Your Niche

The days of general stores are over. Particularly online, consumers are looking for stores that specialize. You have to find a need—something a specific group of people want, but can’t get at the big chain stores—and fill it. You can’t compete with the big guys, so you have to find where the big guys aren’t and go into your niches.

  1. Have an Online Presence

Even if you’re not planning to start an online retail business, consider that the internet can still play a valuable role in your company. Having an online presence eliminates the limitations of physical location and broadens your customer base by, literally, millions. It’s also a great tool for promoting yourself and letting people, even in your own area, know that you’re there, and what you’re doing.

  1. Refuse to Quit

Successful entrepreneurship requires creativity, energy, and a drive to keep going when you fail. Few people realize that before Bill Gates created the extremely successful Microsoft 3.0, he created a Microsoft 1.0 and 2.0, both of which flopped—but he kept at it. And that determination and refusal to give up is what will separate successful entrepreneurs from unsuccessful ones. Arm yourself with optimism to get beyond the ‘No’ or the trouble. There’s nothing wrong with failure—just don’t repeat the same mistake!

7 Simple Steps to get more out of your day

7 Simple Steps to Get More Out of Your Day

Let’s face it – time is probably our greatest resource. We never seem to have enough of it and it seems to pass so quickly. Well we won’t get any more of it and we can’t slow it down.

What we can do is make the most of the time we have. Here are some simple steps you can take to get the most out of your day:

1. Plan your day the night before – At the end of each day write out all the things you need to do the following day to achieve your goals. Pull together all the information you’ll need, phone numbers and relevant paperwork.

2. Prioritise the list – Number each item and do the harder jobs first. There’s always the temptation to do the easy jobs first. However, think how the thought of doing the hard jobs hangs over you as you do the easy stuff. Think how good you’ll feel when the nasties are out of the way and how motivated you’ll feel.

3. Stick to your list – Check off each item as you go and avoid distractions. You don’t need to answer every email/text as they come in. Set a schedule to check your email/notifications once every hour, or whatever works best for you.

4. Remember the Three “D’s” – Do it, Delegate it or Dump it. Handle each piece of paper only once. Either do something about it now, delegate it to someone else or throw it in the trash. And remember – “Only do it if only you can do it.”

5. Don’t procrastinate – Procrastination really is the “Thief of Time” It’s so easy to put things off till another time or till “I’ve had time to think about it.” DO IT NOW!

6. Plan your leisure time – Schedule out time for you to relax, workout, go shopping, whatever it is that you enjoy.

7 Be honest with yourself – Keep asking – “Is what I’m doing now getting me to where I want to get to?” if the answer is “no,” change what you’re doing.
